Today I celebrate another year of life.
Birthdays have a way of making you pause.
Not to count the years, but to count the blessings.
As I reflect on the journey, my heart is filled with gratitude.
Gratitude for family, the ones we choose and who choose us, every time; my gorgeous kids, the ones God gifts us with!
Gratitude for friendships that have stood the test of time.
Gratitude for mentors who believed in me.
Gratitude for colleagues, partners, and communities who have walked alongside me through different seasons of life.
And above all, gratitude for God's faithfulness.
When I look back, I don't see a perfect journey.
I see a journey filled with lessons.
Some came through successes.
Many came through challenges.
But every season shaped me into who I am today.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working across industries, countries, cultures, and technologies.
I've watched the world change in extraordinary ways.
Yet one thing has remained constant for me.
A deep desire to help people discover their potential.
Perhaps that's why the work I am doing today feels less like a career and more like a calling.
As a mother, I think often about the world our children are growing up in.
A world filled with incredible opportunity, but also increasing complexity.
A world where technology is advancing at breathtaking speed.
A world where young people need more than information.
They need guidance.
Mentors.
Purpose.
Confidence.
And people who believe in them.
That belief is what gave birth to We-KIT.
Not as a business idea.
But as a mission.
A mission to help young people discover who they are, where their strengths lie, and how they can make a meaningful contribution to the world.
Today, on my birthday, it feels especially meaningful that we are also launching the WeKIT FutureReadySkills™ Program.
For me, this isn't just the launch of a new initiative.
It represents years of learning, listening, dreaming, praying, and believing that every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their God-given potential.
When I think about the future, I don't worry about whether AI will replace jobs.
I think about whether we are helping people discover the unique gifts that no technology can replace.
Character.
Creativity.
Compassion.
Purpose.
Faith.
Human connection.
These are the things that matter.
If there is one thing I hope to leave behind, it isn't a company or a title.
It is people who know they matter.
People who believe in themselves.
People who have found purpose and hope.
As I begin another chapter, my prayer is simple:
To continue serving.
To continue learning.
To continue loving well.
To continue helping others discover the incredible potential that already exists within them.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey.
Your encouragement, friendship, prayers, and support mean more than you know.
The best gifts in life have never been things.
They have always been people.
And for that, I am deeply grateful.
With love and gratitude,
Yvonne
