CCTV Installation at Marathahalli Bangalore

Requirement : Customer requires Solution for CCTV Monitoring in the Lift.
We received an Enquiry for CCTV installation at an Apartment in Marathahalli Area of Bangalore. The Apartment Consisted of approximately 160 Units with 3 Blocks, 2 Lifts in Each Block. The Client requirement was to Install CCTV Camera to Deter any Vandalism and Nuisance inside the Lift Car. Solution Proposed : We Considered Both Wired and Wireless Camera Approaches and Pros and Cons of the Same .
Stand Alone Wireless Camera with 4G and Memory Card.
Advantages - Very Less Cost , Ease of Installation.
Draw backs - Less Secure, Some Body can take the Camera easily. Keep Recharging or Make Payments for Mobile Data. Not sure if the Camera is in Operation. Approximate Budget for a Good Solution : Rs 8000 to 10,000 per Lift
Wired Camera : Install CAT6 Travelling Cable in the Lift Shaft. The Travelling Cable is Terminated in the Machine Room , Connected to NVR . NVR live View Provided in the Security Room using KVM Switch. IP Camera with Vandal Proof and Wide Angle Features installed in Lift Car.
Advantages : Professional Solution. Security can Always see Live View.
Disadvantage: Travelling Cable to be approved by Lift OEM. High Cost Based on the Lift Make.
Budget : Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000 based on the Travelling Cable Make Per Lift.
Wireless Cameras with Transmitter Receiver Pair : In this Solution No Cabling is Required inside the Lift Shaft. Wireless Transmitter and Receiver is Installed in the Machine Room and Lift Car Respectively. A Wireless Bridge is Established . The Camera is connected to the Receiver and the Transmitter is Connected to the Network Switch. The
Camera Live View is Provided to the Security Room.
Advantages : Considerably Easier to Install the Solution and Less Dependency on Lift Maintenance Team. Reasonably Cost Effective and Reliable Solution as No Travelling Cables are Involved.
Disadvantages : Wi-Fi Network may have interference sometimes leading to Signal Loss. This can be Overcome by having a Memory Card in the Camera which could sync the Data to NVR in case of any Network Outage Issues.
Approximate Cost : Rs 20,000 to 28,000 Per Lift.
