πŸ“Š Sustainability Tools You Need To Know in 2026, Part 3: Climate Toolkit 4 Business.

Many carbon footprinting tools help businesses understand their impact. What makes Climate Toolkit 4 Business different is what happens next.

Developed by the Government of Ireland, this free resource helps businesses calculate their carbon footprint and generate a tailored sustainability action plan based on their results.

The platform is straightforward to use, flexible in the level of detail required, and provides practical recommendations that businesses can act on immediately.

One of its biggest strengths is the tailored action plan it generates, alongside direct access to Irish grants, supports and advisory services.

While the emissions data is more streamlined than some dedicated carbon accounting tools, the roadmap and guidance it provides make it an excellent starting point for businesses beginning their sustainability journey.

🌊 World Oceans Day 🌊

The ocean is a huge part of Galway's identity, shaping our communities, wildlife and coastline.

Today we're looking back at some sustainable merchandise produced for Galway Atlantaquaria, featuring bamboo notebooks and pens made from recycled aluminium.

Small choices can make a difference, and World Oceans Day is a good reminder of the importance of protecting the environments that connect us all.

Galway Folk Festival has helped set a new standard for sustainable events as the first festival to take part in the SigNature Initiative.

As part of the initiative, organisations receive a SigNature plaque recognising their commitment to positive environmental action. Galway Folk Festival proudly became the first festival to take part.

The festival also took meaningful steps to reduce its environmental impact:

βœ… 396kg CO2e balanced through Carbon Balanced Paper

βœ… 69kg CO2e balanced through the SigNature Initiative

Together, these actions helped support nature-positive projects while balancing the unavoidable emissions associated with the festival's print and signage.

Sustainability was reflected in the festival artwork too, which featured a range of bird species found across Galway, helping to celebrate and raise awareness of the region's rich biodiversity.

A huge credit to the Galway Folk Festival team for setting the standard and demonstrating how environmental responsibility can be integrated throughout an event, from production choices and signage to creative design and storytelling.

You see the finished signs, the vehicle wraps, the packaging, the festival branding and the print.

What you don't always see are the people behind it.

From design and production to installation, every project is a team effort. Different skills, different roles, all working towards the same goal: delivering quality work for our customers.

It was a pleasure to welcome Jenny Kerr from GOAL to iSupply on Monday for a tour and a great conversation about sustainability, community impact, and the incredible work GOAL continues to do around the world.

While many people know GOAL for their emergency response work, it was really interesting to hear more about the long-term support they provide to help communities build resilience, recover stronger, and create more stable futures.

We’re proud to continue supporting GOAL through our annual Jersey Day and other fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Thanks again to Jenny for taking the time to visit and share more about the important work GOAL is doing.

This World Biodiversity Day🌍, we wanted to highlight the importance of protecting and supporting local biodiversity through small, practical actions that can make a real difference over time.

As part of this, we recently installed swift boxes at iSupply using PVC cut-offs from jobs completed for various clients, giving surplus material a second life while helping create potential nesting spaces for swifts, a species currently on the Red conservation list in Ireland.

According to BirdWatch Ireland, breeding swift populations declined by 69% between 1998 and 2023.

Swifts are migratory birds, travelling to Africa for the winter months before returning to Ireland between May and August to breed. By installing these boxes, we hope to help provide safe nesting spaces and give these birds a better chance while supporting wildlife closer to home.

While our initiatives such as SigNature already support wider environmental and biodiversity projects, we were pleased to take a step that helps support biodiversity closer to home here in Ireland. This is our first action taken to benefit our local biodiversity sphere and hopefully the first of many, while also contributing towards SDG 15, Life on Land, through supporting biodiversity and helping protect endangered species.

A special thank you to Swift Conservation Ireland, for their advice, guidance and support in helping bring this project to life.

The Galway International Arts Festival programme has officially launched, marking the beginning of another exciting festival season in Galway.

iSupply has proudly partnered with Galway International Arts Festival for many years, supporting the festival across print, signage, and event branding throughout the city. We’re especially pleased to see this year’s programme produced on Carbon Balanced paper, reflecting a shared commitment to more sustainable choices within the arts and events industry.

We’re looking forward to supporting another incredible summer celebrating creativity, culture, and the arts in Galway.
