Most businesses that get hacked aren't compromised by sophisticated attacks. They're compromised because the basics were overlooked.

Two-factor authentication should be enabled on every system. It's one of the simplest and most effective ways to reduce cyber risk.

The same goes for patching. Those Windows updates might be inconvenient, but they're often fixing vulnerabilities that attackers actively target. Staying up to date dramatically reduces your exposure, particularly to ransomware.

And don't ignore old technology sitting on your network. Legacy servers and unsupported systems create easy entry points for cyber criminals. One vulnerable device can put an entire organisation at risk.

Cyber security doesn't start with advanced technology.

It starts with getting the fundamentals right.
