The company was founded in Dublin City University and has gone from strength to strength since we began trading in December 2005. We are now tracking thousands of vehicles in the Irish, French and UK markets.

The most interesting thing at Fleet & Mobility Live today is not any of the vehicles. It is where the vehicle data is coming from 📡

More and more of it arrives straight from the manufacturer now. No box to fit, no install to book, no waiting for a van to come back to the depot before anything is connected.

That is exactly what making fleet excellence effortless looks like in practice. The information turns up by itself, rather than sitting behind an install job and a spreadsheet and somebody finding a spare afternoon.

Plenty else on the floor too: manufacturers everywhere, more EVs built for proper working fleets including an electric 4x4 in RSPB livery, and more charging companies than we have seen at one of these before.

We are at GSE Expo Europe in Lisbon today ✈️🇵🇹

Always good to catch up with our airport clients in person. The big themes on the floor this year are fleet management and improving the safety and visibility of ground operations, which is exactly the conversation we enjoy having.

An apron is a busy, tight, high-pressure place to run a fleet. Knowing where every unit is and whether it is fit to use matters more there than almost anywhere.

A fleet manager we work with went looking for a diesel thief last spring. ⛽

The system had flagged a fill on one of his vans while the van itself was parked up 40 kilometres away. Bigger than the tank, too. He was fairly sure he knew what he was dealing with.

Turned out to be a wrong registration on the account and a lad using the card in a different van. Fixed in an afternoon, no drama, nobody in trouble.

That is how most of these end. But he only found out because something checked the transaction against where the vehicle actually was, which is not a job anyone is doing by hand on a 400 line statement.

Genuine question for the fleet managers here 🚐

Without looking anything up, could you name the vehicle in your fleet that did the least work last month?

Most people can name their busiest van straight away. The quietest one is much harder, and that is exactly the one costing you money for nothing.
