VEX ROBOTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - DAY 2, SETTLING IN.

After a great nights sleep- this morning saw us all head to Aldi for ...the breakfast shop!!

There's are no meals at the hotel but we have mini-apartment style rooms with fridges .....so....with fear of starvation preoccupying our heads in Aldi, our trolley was packed to brimming.

Orange juice, cereals, fruit...popcorn? Tacos?? We must have looked funny to any American onlookers as we walked back to the hotel- each one of us laden down with an Aldi shopping bag!!

For the afternoon, Sean Cronin had a trip to a shopping mall organised. The shopping mall (a bit like Kildare Outlet Centre -only bigger), provided a shuttle bus to bring us there.... and we didn't disappoint. The lads put me to shame as they were all great shoppers with eyes for bargains!

Tonight we headed in to Louisville for a quick look round and we went for a bite to eat in the Hard Rock Cafe. All very cool and very enjoyable!! A full and busy day today ....and tomorrow we're booked in for an early start with a tour of Flex.

A team of eight students from Coláiste An Spiorad Naoimh, Bishopstown will represent Ireland at the world finals of a robotics competition after raising over €10,000 to fund their trip.
