A Hong Kong fintech startup, Fill Easy, has teamed up with Prudential Hong Kong to launch a new electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) system.
This technology cuts customer onboarding time from weeks to under 10 minutes, even across borders.
Fill Easy's platform pulls verified data from government and financial sources. It checks identities in real time, flags issues, and creates audit-ready reports.
CEO Matthew Lee said the goal is to make identity checks fast and secure, without borders getting in the way.
Pilot tests with Prudential showed big speed improvements while keeping full compliance and protection against risks like deepfakes.The system helps clients in the Greater Bay Area open accounts or buy insurance easily. It was developed with support from Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP).
Fill Easy presented this at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025.The company is working towards ISO 27001 certification for top security standards.This is part of Hong Kong's push to lead in fintech under the Fintech 2030 strategy.
