In today’s world, where many of us are more comfortable communicating via WhatsApp and email than by speaking on the phone or face-to-face, the ability to deliver speech effectively is often neglected. gweek is a cutting-edge software that helps improve “speech intelligence” through an advanced analytics and training platform which provides immediate results and feedback in bite sized phases, to help people unlock their speech potential on the go.

Unlike many corporate presentation tools which instruct people on “how to” present or speak in public, but often yield short term results, the gweek app - a “personal communication coach” - takes a more intuitive approach. Based on the belief that everyone is inherently “speech intelligent”, gweek helps harness the skills people already possess but don’t necessarily know how to use, such as clarity and structure in speech.

From boosting confidence before heading out on a first date, having a phone interview for a new job or simply getting a point across to colleagues or friends, gweek helps users to understand the ‘moving parts’ of speech and then trains them on how to improve and control their communication skills.

The software is comprised of learning levels, to help users achieve key milestones, or to simply provide help with rehearsing speech. gweek is a cognitive technology in that it knows what to listen and look for in order to help in a constructive, non-judgmental way. gweek uses audio and visual layers of machine learning to provide real-time analytics and bite-sized learning chunks. It empowers users to express themselves more effectively, and to tap into their most valuable currency – the way they present themselves. It empowers users to communicate ‘with’ not ‘at’ people.

Through the use of smart Speech Intelligence Analytics™, gweek has been able to consistently measure the components that make up clear, confident, yet authentic communication - to create a system which accurately scores users in real-time and helps them to improve their speaking capabilities.

Each speech intelligence (Si) level of gweek assesses an array of behaviours in order to determine speech patterns and headlines. For instance, the use of powerful empty pauses (as opposed to awkward hesitations/filled pauses) or natural eye movement and its link to memory recall (as opposed to artificially maintaining eye contact). Si1 represents the core, functional elements of communication skills while Si2-4 ensures users get the most out of what they say and can apply it to any situation.

The gweek technology was invented by James Bryce, speech and communication behavioural analyst with 18 years industry experience. A pioneer in the quantified workplace movement and architect of Speech Intelligence Analytics™ James has over 10,000 field hours in analysis and advisory.

gweek is new as a Learning Experience, yet not new in terms of a lengthy R&D process into communication analytics and micro-learning, which, started over 10 years ago. Somewhat in stealth mode, gweek has worked since 2010 with some extremely well-known global brands. These brands are confident enough to scale gweek through their global operations and teams.
