為甚麼是Code，程式？因為我們相信科技創新是少數能突破香港困局的途徑。

Code for Hong Kong 希望創作一個Civic hacking平台，讓人找到志同道合的團隊，工餘的“side-project"不再僅磨練技術，能互相學習又有社會意義 。像網上遊戲的公會，團結一起「升呢」。
自己發揮科技創新的專業，再連繫不同團體互助合作、協助發佈到媒體，讓意念得以實踐。
“Drive social changes by code”, 長遠目標，利用開放源碼、開放資料去建構開放政府。
