Managing Director of Digital Realty in Greece, Alexandros Bechrakis, participated in the Platform Frontier Markets CEE event in Vienna, discussing the future of digital infrastructure across Central and Southeastern Europe.

A clear takeaway: no market operates in isolation. From Vienna, Zagreb and Sofia to Athens and Crete—with HER1 now live, positioning Crete as a strategic gateway linking Southeastern and Eastern Europe—and across the East Med corridor, a connected, collaborative approach is key to building a stronger and more resilient digital ecosystem for Europe.

In Austria, a unique dynamic stands out—with available capacity in a constrained market. Digital Realty is proud to be the largest colocation provider in Austria, with 65 MW of secured power for the future expansion as also with 1.5 MW available now and up to 5 MW by the end of 2026 with the opening of the new data center in Vienna VIE13.
