Hon. Samuel Asamoah, the Kwahu East District Chief Executive (DCE), together with key stakeholders,including the Director of Fisheries, the District Agric Director, and other security agencies, engaged fishermen in the district on the matter. The meeting was held at Kwahu Kotoso.

During the discussion, fishermen raised concerns about insecurity on the Afram River.

Nana Kwaakye Owusu Ansah II, the Kotosohene who doubles as Kwahu Akwatufourhene, appealed to the people of Kotoso to respect the law and comply with the decision of the Assembly.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Samuel Asamoah warned fishermen to stop using unapproved fishing nets and chemicals to catch fish. He added that a special task force will be established to monitor insecurity and clamp down on illegal fishing activities on the river.

PATRICIA OSEI BOATENG IN POLICE GRIPS

Actress Patricia Osei Boateng, the wife of deceased robbery gang leader, Eric Duku is in police grips, according to reports.

The actress is alleged to have assisted Duku to evade police checks by pretending to be a nurse.

Duku reportedly led a notorious gang responsible for robbery and car snatching incidents across the Ashanti, Bono, and Western regions.

He was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire with police following one of the robberies.

The police launched a manhunt for Patricia following the arrest of four suspects in connection with the murder of Andrews Amankwa, who was shot during a robbery at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.

He assured residents that the chicks will be properly cared for over the next few weeks and fairly distributed to all individuals who successfully registered under the programme.
