Thinking ahead to November?

With Christmas just around the corner and lots happening locally, November is a great month to make sure your business stays visible.

As weather starts to change into the Autumn months we can see an increase in persons cold-calling, offering work on properties or gardens 🏡
Please do not answer the door if you do not wish to, most companies will post leaflets if no reply 🗒️
Put up a ‘no cold-calling’ sticker in your window 🪟
Use a chain on your door or a door wedge if you have one when answering the door🙂
Do not feel pressured into any work being agreed upon 🪜
Every legitimate company should offer you a 14 day cooling off period 💰
Do not alert anyone that you have cash inside the property and don’t keep large amounts anywhere 💵
If you are not happy with the work completed you can contact trading standards for further advice 📱
If you feel threatened by someone lock the door and contact the Police 🚓
If you are concerned about a vulnerable neighbour or family member, report it 👮🏻

📮 One of the things we're most proud of at EssentialsMAG is our team of young distributors.

Every month, 15,500 magazines are distributed across 54 routes, mostly by young people earning their own money and learning a bit of responsibility along the way.

It may only be a magazine round, but working from a young age can build confidence, independence and valuable skills that can help set you up for later life.

Community Call out Day: Old Cinemas and Theatres of Wrexham
Wrexham Library will be hsoting a drop in day for people to upload photos and documents to the Peoples’ Collection Wales website. This is a website that dedicated to preserving the heritage of Wales.

The event will focus on items connected to cinemas and theatres in Wrexham.

The event takes place on Wednesday 14th October 9.30-4.30pm. There is no need to book a place.
