One of our engineers put AI to the test - writing an Understand plugin by hand vs. using Cursor to generate it. The verdict? AI was a little faster (even with setup time) and a lot less painful than expected.

The real takeaway: AI can shine on well-defined, script-style tasks, but design decisions and deep code understanding are still human territory.
