Sanctioned by Winston Churchill to "set Europe ablaze" during the 2nd World War and headquartered at 64 Baker Street London they were nicknamed "the Baker Street Irregulars" after Sherlock Holmes's fictional group of spies.
Officially the S.O.E was dissolved in 1946, with much of its sphere of influence reverting to MI5, MI6 and Special Branch. In reality the S.O.E continued in secrecy with a new remit, tasked to deal with threats that the ordinary security services were ill equipped to deal with.
For the Irregulars, alien incursion and the paranormal are all in a day’s work.
Dee’s Angel Volume 1: On Feathered Wings.
John Dee, mathematician, geographer, government agent, astrologer, alchemist and advisor to Queen Elizabeth the 1st believed that angels held knowledge that would aid him in his studies. In 1582 Dee and Edward Kelley build a device and bring an angel to Earth. Although recorded in Dee’s Book of Enoch the full account of the incident remained a secret. The device was dismantled and the “angel” buried.
In 1986 the angel returned and it's up to The Irregulars to stop it!
