To ensure maximum efficiency when patching fibre connections between server racks, our major clients use Fibre Runner to house connecting cables. When used correctly, this can save onsite technicians a lot of time whilst protecting the installed cables. We make sure all cables are free from any constricting Velcro or cable ties inside the fibre runner, as intended to be used. This ensures that patches can be replaced easily whilst maintaining a high standard of cable management.

To an untrained eye, the state of this patching install prior to our callout may not look terrible as the fibre cables are all connected and are transmitting data. However, due to the delicate cables being pulled tight at the top of the cab, breaks are inevitable.

The solution to this problem was to replace some broken patches alongside installing some new longer fibre MTP connections.

Whilst doing so, we neatened up the installation to enable future cable replacements and installs to be made easier, allowing for more efficient fault finding.

One-stop Shop for Structured Cabling!

Check out the early stages of a project we have started at a Data Centre in London, where we have been contracted to install the server cabinets and power supply. All cable has now been pulled successfully, leaving the installation of the recently delivered server racks along with cable termination to be completed.

After completing an installation in Amsterdam to such a high standard over the weekend (see our latest post), we were asked to finish the connection in another data hall to the same merit. Therefore, in a timely manner, we completed the fibre and copper build which has now been tested and passed with flying colours.

Working around the clock to meet extreme deadlines.

Check out the final stages of this overwhelming office install that required finishing on strict deadlines. We had been called in to install cat6 access points throughout the building on short notice, as the building was near its handover date. Some installers may not feel comfortable meeting the strict deadlines proposed, however, this did not stop us from finishing the job on time!
