Important Information

The iPhone 17 series was originally designed with OLED display technology. While LCD replacement screens are available at a lower cost, they do not offer the same image quality, brightness, contrast, or overall user experience as an OLED screen.

For the best performance and closest match to the original display, we recommend choosing a Soft OLED replacement. However, if keeping repair costs down is your main priority, an LCD screen can be a more budget-friendly alternative.

A customer recently brought in an iPad for what appeared to be a straightforward digitiser (glass) replacement.

However, once we carefully opened the device, we discovered something much more serious. The shattered glass had pierced the battery in several places, causing it to leak onto the back of the LCD screen.

This is not something we could safely ignore or hand back to the customer. A damaged lithium battery is a significant fire risk, so for the customer’s safety, the battery had to be replaced before the repair could be completed.

⚠️ Sometimes the biggest danger is the damage you can’t see.

What looks like a simple cracked screen on the outside can be hiding serious internal issues. That’s why it’s always worth having damaged devices professionally inspected as soon as possible.

A quick check today could prevent a much bigger problem tomorrow.
