We are excited to announce that our new product for data scientists, the Machine Learning Kit, is now available for beta testing. The EVA ICS ML kit offers several advantages over querying data directly from databases. It is fully integrated into the EVA ICS v4 environment and uses the same authentication and authorization mechanism as HMI services, eliminating the need for additional access setup for data engineers on database servers. Additionally, the ML kit can collect data from multiple databases simultaneously, including time series, SQL, or custom services. The server provides fully prepared data frames, delivered as a true Arrow or CSV stream that can be loaded quickly on the client side. Data streams can also be compressed during transfer for efficiency.

Compared to querying data with HMI service, the EVA ICS ML kit offers much faster parallel data collection from multiple databases and supports data stream compression during transfer. Unlike the HMI service API, which only offers RPC API without data streaming, the ML kit provides the necessary instruments to format complex data frames on the server side.

The frames can also be uploaded back to databases, which gives incredible opportunities for system modeling and testing.

The kit also provides tutorials for typical IoT data processing with AI.

The release version of the ML kit is going to come with a user-friendly web interface that provides quick code generation for Python and R, data chart construction, and data export in Arrow/CSV formats.
