And it’s over! Great social with the Fox syndicate social. Managed 2 fish from Hayes lake which was fishing hard so really pleased with my results! Many thanks to the staff at merrington for some great chow and also and for arranging the weekend.

Up early and the BBQ is already rolling—smoking a glazed pork belly ready for the Carp Intelligence social tomorrow 🔥
Got to put the effort in when you’re feeding the legendary bank culinare Michael Ruthven and Mr Waitrose himself Justin Bullard … no pressure there!
Pork belly done by special request for Karl Healy, so you know it’s going to be dialled in properly.
Low and slow, apple wood rolling, and a glaze that’s going to stick like glue when it hits the heat tomorrow 👌

1 night in to our 48hr session on ! Definitely the furthest north I’ve ever fished for carp in the UK. Absolutely beautiful place and see some bangers cruising around.
