The sword of Stephen the Great, myth and legend!

One of the most important artifacts in the Topkapi Museum in Turkey is a weapon. More precisely, it is the sword of the voivode Stephen the Great, a weapon loaded with legend, revered and feared by the Turks, built of special steel at the personal indications of the voivode.

In the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul, the former Grand Palace of the Ottoman Sultans, in the hall dedicated to weapons, there is a Moldavian sword. Simple and with a "worked" blade, it attracts attention through its dimensions, but especially through the heraldry of the handle.

More precisely, on the disk of the handle appear the coat of arms of Moldova, the bull's head and the Slavonic inscription "Io Ştefan Voievod lord of the Land of Moldova". It is clear, as the weapons specialists attested, the battle sword of the Moldavian voivode. The story is controversial, there are several assumptions about its origin, the use of the weapon, the material from which it was made and especially how it arrived in a Turkish museum.

Sheffield's illegals

An intermediary company that hires delivery workers for Amazon in Sheffield, foresee in their contract the right to withhold employees' salaries
for more than one month in the form of a deposit for the vans rented by them for this employees.
More than 270 employees to their surprise, were left around the Easter holidays with less than 100 pounds in their account because the company was dissolved and salaries were not paid
No one was left responsible for the missing money.

Even more one of the police officer helped one of the managers
to leave the company premises when dozens of employees were standing in front of the company's doors, asking for an explanation.

Using the pretext
"You can't take their human rights to go home to their families...
OK so move the cars!"
The employees were left bewildered in front of a empty building.

Although the money will be recovered these procedures are expensive and time consuming and most of the employees, simple people, dont have money for rent and food right now.

Due to the lack of options, dozens of employees will continue to camp in front of the company in the coming days,
where they will withstand "peacefully" the noise of the fire alarm started by the company in the attempt to disperse them.

Although this is happening to a minority community here in UK, , it should be a wake-up call for all of us!

Although the idea is that it would be better to rebuild Twitter from scratch, this may not be the case,

During the last two weeks, Medievall has been humbled by the initiative, commitment and relentless support shown by our team to their fellow Ukrainian colleagues. It is times like this when our core values shine through and we will follow the path set by our amazing colleagues by matching each and every one of their efforts, starting with donations.

🇺🇦 For every sum donated by one of our employees to NGOs that are helping Ukraine, Medeivall will match that amount.

As stated by our CEO, Lex Fridman, there's no limit to what we will do to support our team. We're lucky to have considerable resources in Romania and Poland that allow us to offer real help in this situation and we have taken significant measures to ensure the safety and mobility of our Ukrainian colleagues.

🇺🇦 Through the help of our volunteers, we've already welcomed several family members of our Ukrainian colleagues to Bucharest, and we're ready to support many more refugees fleeing the war.

We recognize the long-term implications of the current political events and we will not let anything deter us from continuing to provide support using the means at our disposal. We're already in contact with trade associations and gaming groups from the region and we're continuously looking for ways we can assist the local game dev communities. The brilliant people at Values Value, Games Gathering, DevGAMM and GDBAY have put together a form with the help of InGame Job, aiming to gather and keep track of the aid of fellow game dev companies. We encourage our colleagues in the industry to join us in aiding the Ukrainian game development community by filling out the form (link in the first comment below).
