It was a great privilege to film this revelatory vocal masterclass with Joyce Di Donato in New College Chapel Oxford at the end of last term. What wouldn’t be so apparent from watching it is how these broadcast quality results are achieved by a single operator looking after four remote PTZ cameras and audio, making for a very cost effective production workflow.

Immensely proud of the team that filmed the Wagner Ring Cycle at Longborough in June in 4K, which is our most ambitious project and greatest achievement to date. Die Walküre premieres on Operavision tonight at 19:00 and will be available for 6 months with the other 3 operas coming soon.

One of our many legendary Sunday full system demonstrations to give the congregation of Our Lady of Loreto & St Winefride the chance to try before they buy. This highly reverberant church also happens to be right in the flight path for Heathrow north runway so we are competing with jets every 90 seconds which calls for a distributed system of Yamaha VXL column speakers.

Audio upgrade for the dining hall at Reuben College, the newest Oxford University College. The dining hall used to be chemistry laboratories and was featured in the 1997 movie The Saint and has been beautifully reimagined. The system had been installed by another integrator but the speakers were in the wrong positions with no time alignment etc so it’s been reworked by our amazing team and thanks to QSCand , now sounds great.

A fantastic piece about the Royal College of Music Performance Lab for which About Sound Limited was principal contractor. It was thirteen weeks of 5:30am starts last summer but well worth it. Enormous thanks go to all our hard working staff and suppliers for making this a (virtual!) reality.
