Emergency.... At least it's not 5am yet.

Got a call at 11pm about a switch failure. Ended up being due to a power surge which has just made the switch requiring an RMA.

Replaced with a spare. Configured, tested and working.

Is the background real or fake? 😂

The other night I had these 2 laptops side by side and thought this is a good comparison.

Both are Dell Laptops with 2 different price points and use cases.
The 1 on the left is a new Dell Vostro 5635 which is for the director of a property company.
He wanted something with a large screen but light enough to carry around. This one fit the bill as well as having a 3yr Onsite NBD Warranty.
- 16" Screen
- AMD Ryzen 5 7530 CPU

The beast on the right is going to an Operations Director who will be doing CAD work on the go. This is packed with some amazing hardware specs and a 3yr RTB Warranty.

Took my boy to his first football match yesterday.

Went and watched Sheffield Utd U21's beat Sheffield Wednesday U21's 2-0. Had a great time with the rest of his teammates from his U8's team.

Looking to get more mileage out of an old tablet? Here are some tips on using it as a second PC monitor.

An old tablet is all well and good but it doesn't beat having a proper additional screen. Some tips to look for when choosing a new monitor

- Adjustability - Height at the bare minimum
- Refresh rate - Most are 60hz but the higher the better
- Panel type - Our preference is IPS due to it's viewing angle and clarity of colours
- Inputs - Display Port and HDMI - I would suggest making sure it has both of these
