This is the 11th Code Powers application submitted by Dolomite Solutions for clients. This is also the 2nd for BAI Communications, for the Sunderland and other Smart Cities roll-outs, including Neutral Host mobile and WiFi.

Ofcom have just published the consultation for Code Powers for WhyFibre, a new Fibre to the Home operator. We helped with the calculations and presentation of Funds For Liabilities. This is where an operator must make a financial provision for work in progress and ongoing costs for 3 years. It is a major stumbling block in getting Code Powers which give rights to operators to install duct and fibre in the public highway.

Preparing submission to the Treasury Select Committee inquiry into Business Rates. It will feature fibre but will also make some general observations, such as the waste caused by the Mazars rating case, and the Whitechapel case where the VOA pursued a council for £600 on three toilets at a cost of £10,000's for the Chancellor to derate toilets in the last budget.
