We created an application pack to send out to potential job applicants. Ine of the sections asks about poor design layout with some examples. The replies are so chatgpt created that instead of impressing they make you wonder whether the applicant would be able to get on with anything or they would be too hyper critical. This is one of the replies!!! "Looking at the design, I think the main issue is that the different elements don't feel particularly connected. The logo, heading, dog symbol, text box and "Thank you" all seem to sit separately on the page rather than working together as one layout.
There is also quite a lot of unused space, particularly between the heading, dog symbol and red text panel. This makes the design feel quite stretched out and means the overall sign could probably be more compact and easier to read.
The dog prohibition symbol is very large compared with the rest of the information. It's obviously important to show that dogs aren't allowed, but it takes up a lot of space and becomes the main focus of the sign, possibly more than the actual message.
The logo also feels a little isolated in the top corner and is quite small compared to everything else. It could perhaps be better incorporated into the layout, either alongside the heading or positioned more deliberately as part of a header or footer.
The wording in the red panel is clear, but the line breaks feel slightly awkward. The use of capitals, bold text and an underline on "DO NOT" also feels like a bit too much emphasis all at once. The message could probably be simplified and laid out in a cleaner way.
Finally, the "Thank you" at the bottom feels slightly disconnected from the rest of the information, almost like it has been added afterwards.
Overall, I think the biggest improvements would come from tightening up the spacing, creating a clearer hierarchy and making the individual elements feel more connected rather than simply stacked on top of each other."
