When I first setup mentoring support for website designers I knew I wanted a space where we could get together, to build our careers, to overcome challenges and to plan for a really successful future.

Part of those plans was an in-person event where we could spend a whole day working on our businesses and create a personalised plan for the year ahead.

It's been a couple of years in the making but it's happening this November, in London and I'd love to see you there.
The video explains what it is.

There's an ideal client for every industry, every service, every opportunity. And if they're not ready to buy, trust me you don't want to go chasing them.

Here's what happened when I wasn't an ideal client for a well know app.

You can find the whole story (and how it relates to websites and web design) in my brand new podcast episode. Search for ⭐️ Websites Made Simple ⭐️ from wherever you get your podcasts.

On Fridays we fix our websites 🤩

This one *feels* obvious but when we get busy, it's the first one to go.

I'm talking about blogging.

You might not have time (or the energy) to think up new blogs to write. Here's what you can do instead.....

If you're a website designer who's hit the end of September and something *still* isn't feeling right in your business, this is for you.

It's not about how many websites you build.

Or what you're charging for them.

Or even how well your processes are working for you.

It runs deeper than that. And I unpack it all in the latest podcast episode of Websites Made Simple.

If you're looking to get a bit more clarity and find out what's holding you back - and how to fix it, head to ⭐️ Websites Made Simple ⭐️ from wherever you get your podcasts (including YouTube). And let me know what you think of the episode.

On Fridays we fix our websites 🤩

This week we're getting technical. But not too technical. And I promise, Google can help.

Knowing your page speed scores and Google's (broad) insights into what's working for your website will make a huge difference.

📣 On Wednesdays we shout about our wins

And this week's win comes from one of my lovely Sparks members Ellie Garfield

Ellie joined our group earlier this year when she was getting started again in web design and was looking for a community to support her. She's an amazing member of the group and her career is also going from strength to strength.

If you're working in the web design space - whether that's as a designer/developer, an SEO specialist, copywriter or branding specialist and you're looking for support from a micro-community, Sparks could be the place for you. Get in touch and I'll let you know the next steps.

Website Designers - if things don't feel they're quite where you'd like them to be at in your business, then I see you 👀. For a long time, I was you.

And it's not necessarily that you don't have enough work.

Or that your systems aren't working....

But something's not quite right in your business.

I address this in this week's podcast episode and I'd love for you to listen and let me know what you think.

Head over to ⭐️ Websites Made Simple ⭐️ from wherever you get your podcasts, including YouTube and let's get your web design business working better for you.

Are you a web designer who feels you're being all things to all people?

You offer ALLLL the services

Do ALLL the work yourself

You feel awful saying no..... so you just don't say it

And slowly, you start to fall out of love with web design and the business you've built.

In this week's podcast episode I guide you through how to put down the services you're not loving so you can do more of what really lights you up.

Grab 15 mins and a coffee and I'll talk you through it.

On Fridays we fix our websites 🤩

Spacing can be tricky. But it really is the most important part of the user experience. Bunch everything up and everything runs into one. Create enough space for everything to breathe and you can focus on each element. Have too much space and you loose the thread of the design 🥺

If you're a website designer who hasn't quite nailed the 'loving your job' part of your business you're not alone.

We've all been there and in this week's podcast episode I'm talking about how to get out of there and into a role you love.

Maybe you love design but not the tech
Or the admin can do one
Or you hate the marketing
Or you love the tech but struggle with the design.....

I address it all in the episode.
