As of Today (14th October 2025) Windows 10 officially enters 'End Of Life' and will no longer receive new feature updates. And as a result of this people will have probably seen a popup saying that your computer isn't supported to run Windows 11 and to buy a new pc.

After seeing this posted about, I thought I'd add some input to this.

It may be upto 5x faster, but faster than what?

Microsoft copilot is just another AI Assistant included with selected new pc's.

Maybe you need a new computer as its no longer getting updates, or maybe you see "5x faster" and think maybe it's time to get a new pc.

But did you know that in most circumstances, even though it says you can't upgrade to windows 11. Fun fact, it's actually possible.

As October 14th becomes closer and closer, many people may have noticed a new popup saying Windows 10 will no longer be supported.

Not to worry as it is still possible to upgrade to Windows 11 even if you have had the pop up saying you need to buy a new PC.

Another satisfied customer, laptop came in with drive encryption active and a slow Windows Install. Customer uses this laptop for basic web browsing and playing a few web based games, they especially use their laptop to save and backup family photos.

After speaking to the customer they wanted to potentially replace the laptop with a new one, however we went down the route of upgrading from the original hard drive to a SSD (Solid State Drive)

The benefits to adding a SSD to an aging computer is that not only does it speed the device up dramatically but also saving the customer money on a new machine.
