🎓 Dear Mount Mentor...

"What's the biggest mounting mistake you often see installers make?"

One of the biggest? Choosing the mount based on the display alone.

Screen size and weight are important, but they’re only part of the picture.
Before installation, think about:
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
What are you fixing into? Where will the display sit? How will the space actually be used?
𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Can you easily reach cables, connections and equipment when it’s time for maintenance?
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱
Cameras, soundbars and other AV equipment need to be considered before the screen goes up.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲
Fixed, tilted, adjustable or mobile? Think about how people will interact with the display day to day.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
A little forward planning can make future display upgrades much easier.

A successful installation isn't just about getting the screen on the wall. It's about making sure the whole solution works for the space, the technology and the people using it.

Not sure which mounting solution is right for your next project? Our team is always happy to talk through the options.

5 Things to Check Before Mounting a Display

A successful installation starts long before the display goes on the wall.

Before you begin, check:
• Wall construction
• Display weight & VESA compatibility
• Viewing height
• Cable routes & power
• Future maintenance access

Getting these right can help avoid delays and create a more professional installation.
What would you add to the list?

Dear Mount Mentor...
"How can I future-proof meeting rooms when display technology changes so frequently?"

It's a question we hear a lot.
The truth is, you can't predict every new display or collaboration tool that will come along. But you can choose mounting solutions that make future upgrades much simpler.

Here are a few things to consider:
𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀
Choose a mount that can accommodate a range of screen sizes and weights, not just today's display.
𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆
Serviceable mounts save valuable time when displays need replacing, upgrading or servicing.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻
Cameras, soundbars and collaboration devices are becoming standard. Make sure your mounting solution can evolve with the room.
𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
Meeting spaces rarely stay the same forever. Adjustable and modular solutions help rooms adapt as requirements change.
Invest in quality from the start

A well-designed mounting solution should outlast several generations of display technology, helping reduce disruption and long-term costs.
The display might change every few years. The right mount should be ready for whatever comes next.

Got a mounting dilemma? Send it to Mount Mentor. We might feature it in the next post.
