Guests vote with their feet for good connectivity

A recent survey has indicated the 38% of guests now see free Wi-Fi as essential. The survey, undertaken by the hotel booking website Hotels.com, suggested that 38% of travellers won’t book a hotel unless Wi-Fi access is free of charge. This also brings into question how many guests will return if a hotel does not have full coverage in rooms or the Wi-Fi service is too slow when connected.

Performance Networks are specialists in creating fast and reliable networks and will also guarantee coverage and uptime. Performance Networks have cost effective options to suit all venue types, please call 0845 094 4432 to speak to a consultant or book a site survey.

Further insight on Business grade Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC)

FTTC can provide speeds up to 76Mb download currently & up to 19Mb upload – that’s up to 8 times what any copper based ADSL line can provide!

But what about SLA’s you ask?(Service Level Agreements) The SLA’s aren’t great on standard FTTC, so we back all our FTTC lines with a 99.9% SLA-backed router that comes complete with a monitoring portal. No more slowing down due to contention, when you need to work fastest. Our business prioritised service also gives you a dedicated broadband fast lane with guaranteed minimum speeds for business traffic at the busiest times of day.

But,if you can’t currently get FTTC, then listed below is a brief summary of BT’s rollout plans:

BT’s FTTC (Infinity) service is currently available to about seven million homes across the UK. BT is looking to raise that to 10 million in 2012, and then wants to hit two thirds of all UK homes in 2014. That’s to help the government meet its ambition for the UK to have the best super-fast broadband network in Europe by 2015.

If you can’t yet receive FTTC, then Performance Networks do have plenty of other solutions to increase bandwidth including Bonded ADSL, EFM (Ethernet First Mile) & Leased Lines.
