We are excited to announce that DSL and Datastor have merged and rebranded as Optio Systems – one business with one clear identity.

Why have we rebranded?

As many of you know, DSL and Datastor have been part of the same group, and working more closely together, for some time. A single brand is the next step in that journey.

What will change?

In short, you should notice very little change from an operational perspective – there will be no change to your day-to-day service, systems, or support, and you’ll continue working with the same great staff who know your operation inside out. The name on our bank account will be changing, but we’ll be in touch with your finance teams to let them know. Everything else will continue as usual.

Over time, this closer integration will enable improved coordination, stronger support, and continued investment in service and innovation.

DSL Systems have recently upgraded their AutoPilot4Feed installations at SealesWinslow Morrinsville and Wanganui sites to the latest Imperium4Feed mill control system with the all new browser based user interface. DSL's engineer, James Cryer, travelled to New Zealand to perform the upgrades and provide after care. Nardia Crosby, the Systems and Solutions manager at SealesWinslow commented, “It’s a long journey from the UK to New Zealand, but we are very grateful that the trip was made by James to help us through upgrades to the latest version of Imperium4Feed at two of our mills. We had very old hardware and software versions to refresh and despite best efforts, still had more than a few unexpected challenges to overcome. James was awesome, resolving the issues himself or working with his UK team to find an answer. As part of the upgrades, we updated our Outloading process using functionality newly available (via Imperium4Feed) and additional developments completed by DSL and our ERP supplier. This automation will save our two North Island teams up to 200 hours per year, so they are very happy. We also learned some new tricks and tips through the process, thanks very much DSL.”

Valsoft, a private company based in Montreal, Canada, focuses on acquiring and growing vertical software businesses that provide mission-critical solutions in their respective niche or market. Their goal is to provide great software and related technology services to an ever-expanding consumer base and implement programs to grow the business.

DSL Systems is a business focussed on providing innovative and flexible software solutions for the control and automation of feed and grain plants. We are committed to utilising the talent and experience of our employees to help feed and grain plants achieve the highest standards in quality, maximum efficiency, and excellent product safety. We embed our wealth of knowledge and experience from feed and grain plants all over the world in to our standard software solutions. New facilities and functionality is always developed in a flexible and configurable way to benefit all our clients where possible.
