I was happy to work with the authors of Little Liturgies for Advent ( ), a children’s Advent book built around prayer, scripture, and shared family moments. The project was shaped with the intention of creating stillness, warmth, and connection during a season that can easily feel rushed, and seeing each chapter unfold visually alongside the liturgies made the process especially rewarding ✨🎄🌟💫

I illustrated the book cover for 2nd edition of Our Doctoral Journey (), and I loved working on this.

It started with a very rough concept sketch I was presented with, showing five women walking along the same path. The idea was simple, and the heart of it was clear: different stories, different backgrounds, one shared journey.

Once the foundation was clear, I spent time bringing each woman to life through their expressions, clothing, posture and overall presence. Diversity was an important part of the brief, so I made sure each character reflected a different kind of journey within the larger shared one

Swipe to see how the rough sketch transformed into the final artwork, and the timelapse of the process. It is always interesting seeing how a rough idea grows once you begin developing it!

Palms remind me of flourish, of green and beauty that stands tall even under harsh skies. They’re a picture of endurance, thriving where little else dares to. This pattern grew out of that thought: that even in hard places, life can still spread wide, strong, and beautiful.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what African inspired interiors could look like if we moved past zebra prints and the kind of cliché décor we’re used to seeing. I wanted something that feels fresh, personal, and rooted in real stories. So I turned my palm-inspired pattern into wallpaper and played with it inside this artwork to imagine it in a space. It feels like the first step into a bigger journey for me! Can you spot how many of my artworks are hidden in here?

I created a series of illustrations for as part of the Life of Moses series. I was inspired by the old burin engraving style, but as I worked I felt it needed a touch of color to bring some warmth and life. It was my way of making the scene feel closer, almost like you could walk right into it. My favorite illustration is the scene with Mt. Sinai.

While creating it, I kept thinking about what it might have been like to be there in the camp, looking up at the mountain, waiting in awe. That’s the feeling I hoped to carry through this piece.

Today, my mind felt all over the place, so I went for a walk just to breathe and notice the world outside my own worries.

While wandering about, I noticed how flowers were blooming boldly, bees moving tirelessly from flower to flower, and birds filled the air with layered and rich melodies. Even today’s late bird might have caught a worm.

Now, I didn’t see lilies exactly, but I couldn’t help but think of Matthew 6:28-30: “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin… But if God so clothes the grass of the field… will he not much more clothe you?”

Nature has a way of teaching without speaking. The bees aren’t fretting over next season’s flowers. The birds aren’t singing because they’ve planned out their survival to the last detail. They do their part, they move with the rhythm of life, and they trust the rest will follow.

Perhaps faith isn’t about pretending concerns don’t exist. It’s about choosing not to be consumed by them. Choosing to anchor myself in the evidence of God’s care woven all around me.

Today, I’m choosing to believe there’s enough grace, provision, beauty, and purpose to sustain me. And I’m trusting that my steps, however uncertain, are guided.

After all, isn’t that what the lilies would do?

Here’s a little recap of how Q1 went for me. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be Growth.

The year started on a beautiful note with my birthday in January. I took a moment to reflect, celebrate, and embrace a new chapter with gratitude and excitement for what lay ahead. It set the tone for everything that followed.

I’ve been spending time with Legacy, the prayer journal I collaborated on with . It’s been such a meaningful tool for me in creating space to reflect, pray, and document my journey. Revisiting those pages has been a gentle reminder of God’s faithfulness and the power of writing down prayers, dreams, and lessons learned along the way. It’s been a gift to see how those words continue to encourage and guide me.

Alongside that, I exhibited my art at London Fashion Week, which felt like a surreal moment. One of those experiences where you have to take a step back and let it all sink in.

I’ve also made steady progress on my Crown and Glory series, completing three out of the ten pieces I have planned. For now, I might put a pause on it to explore something new and see where that path leads.

Growth doesn’t always look like forward motion. Sometimes it’s about trying something new, allowing yourself to pivot, or simply taking a step back to breathe and reflect. I’m excited to see what Q2 holds.

How has your Q1 been? And what are you hoping to achieve in Q2?

Here’s a visual breakdown of every hour I put into this artwork. Sometimes it gets a bit repetitive, but it’s always rewarding, especially when I’m listening to podcasts or music that make the time fly by. I think I’ve even gotten a bit faster along the way!

You know what’s funny? Someone pointed out that the rolled handle on the Able crossbody bag in my piece looks like a smiley— and now I can’t unsee it! But honestly, it fits.

This piece is all about boldness—hence the red background, which I usually avoid because it’s too much. But maybe too much is exactly what’s needed to chase dreams fearlessly. That’s why I named it Carpe Diem. And now, with that little smiley detail, it also feels like a reminder to go after big things with a bit of joy too.

I’m so excited to finally share with you all, that as part of the official calendar, I will be taking part in the Able-graphy* Exhibition by

Along with other amazingly talented artists, my piece will be on view 21st-23rd Feb, 11:00am-6pm at Galleria Objets, 92 Brick Lane, London.
