New job. Solo business. I refused to let either suffer.
When I knew a full time role was coming, I didn’t cross my fingers and hope for the best. I got strategic.
I batched weeks of content in advance. I built a backlog of ideas. I streamlined my packages down to what was realistic, what people actually want, and what I could deliver well. I updated my website and brand before I started — not after.
The goal was simple. When the new job began, I needed my business to be able to breathe on its own for a bit.
And it has.
Here’s what I’ve realised through all of it — the areas that needed me got me. My creativity. My client relationships. My content.
And the rest? That’s where the groundwork I’d already laid did its job. A website that represents me properly. Brand images that do the talking when I’m not in the room.
That’s the stuff that works for you quietly in the background — and it’s exactly what I help other small business owners get in place.
Is your website and brand working for you while you’re not watching? If not, let’s talk. 👇
