Investing in local youth and community through boxing club partnership

Exciting news - shineFire app launched!

Newcastle-based multi-risk compliance software company, shineVision, has launched its new shineFire app, a dedicated mobile surveying app designed to streamline the workflow of fire risk assessors. Previously, fire risk assessments were integrated within the Shine X app.

The new independent shineFire app streamlines the creation, transmission, and storage of fire risk assessments, incorporating features such as scheduling, job management and all industry-standard certificate templates.

shineVision’s Managing Director, Lee Taylor, commented: “We’d like to extend a special thanks to our industry partners and clients who supported the design process in bringing our new shineFire app to market.”

Dynamite 25 goes with a bang

We were delighted to have been nominated for the Tech For Good award last week during the distinguished Dynamite 25 awards. Regrettably, we didn't win the award on this occasion, which was awarded to another remarkable local tech company, FloKi Health, to whom we extend our sincere congratulations, well done!

The glittering ceremony was held in the Banqueting Hall of Newcastle Civic Centre, with the brilliant comedian and Mock the Week star, Gary Delaney, as the host. The event was organised by Dynamo North East C.I.C, the largest business network in the tech sector of the region.

Lee Taylor, the Managing Director of shineVision, stated: "It was an exceptional night celebrating so many other outstanding tech companies in the North East of England. It's a wonderful place to live and work, and evenings like this truly demonstrates what the North has to offer."

PROMOTING INCLUSION IN TECH

North East-based compliance software company, shineVision, is proud to announce the recent hiring of Matt Watson as Data and System Analyst. Matt has Autism and ADHD which enables him to bring to shineVision a structured and detailed approach to data analysis, enabling him to tackle complex data processes with exceptional clarity and detail.

Reflecting upon shineVision's continuing commitment to embracing neurodiversity within the workplace, managing director Lee Taylor commented: "Matt offers us so many strengths with his precise attention to detail and methodical approach across our software products. I'm delighted that he has joined our team and I'm really looking forward to watching his career progress and grow within our company."

Matt, from Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne, says: "I've always viewed my Autism and ADHD as a gift and an incredible one at that! I've always had a love for organising data and finding solutions to problems.

Since 2019, I've been attending an excellent Autism support service called Inspired Support who've given me the skills and confidence needed to find my first job. I'm so very thankful to both shineVision and Inspired Support for believing in me and giving me so much support and understanding."

Matt's first steps into the world of work and his inclusion within shineVision highlights the importance of creating workplaces that not only welcome diversity but thrive because of it, especially within UK tech industries.

Supporting Perenco on a global scale

We are excited to enhance our growing partnership with Perenco, an independent hydrocarbonproducer operating in oil and gas exploration and production across 16 countries. The medical teams at Perenco are utilising our shineCompliance software in all their onshore andoffshore production facilities. Our IoT 24/7 Measurement and Alert system is particularly effective inmaintaining the highest water safety standards, countering potential threats such as Legionella.

Our IoT system provides peace of mind and water security through immediate, automated pushnotifications and alerts when medical teams face high-risk scenarios. Alongside shineCompliance IoT, Perenco has fully adopted our shineMedical module tocomprehensively manage and oversee their critical medical equipment inventories and stock acrossall sites.

After months of hard training, our Managing Director, Lee Taylor here at shineVision, completed yet another Great North Run whilst raising hundreds of pounds for the excellent local charity Pathways4All.

Pathways4All is a parent-led charity, providing play and leisure services for disabled children and young people supporting hundreds of disabled children/young people and their families from across Tyne & Wear, Northumberland and Country Durham.

Lee commented: “My company shineVision has always supported the local community over the years, but this year, I wanted to personally support and raise much needed funds for this amazing local North East charity, Pathways4All.”

The app simplifies the creation, sending, and storage of gas safety certificates, incorporating scheduling, job management, and all industry-standard certificate templates.
