These photographs are from this year’s Caythorpe Gala, where we helped remember the men of 1st Airborne Division Signals, who were based in and around the village in the lead-up to the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944.

Our historical interpretation brings the past to life, giving visitors the opportunity to meet the people, hear their stories and learn more about the history behind the uniform.

WE’RE BACK AT THE NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM!

Once again, the Old Time Design Company team will be at the National Army Museum this weekend as part of the Chelsea History Festival, portraying soldiers of the British Army across the 20th century.

Meet a British Tommy serving during the early years of the Great War.

See an RAMC Medical Officer serving with the 53rd (Welsh) Division in Normandy, 1944.

Talk to a British Paratrooper during the Battle of Arnhem, 1944.

Come along, ask questions and discover the stories behind the uniforms, equipment and men who served.
