💷 Maidstone’s Solar Panels Cut Summer Electricity Bills! ☀️

Maidstone Borough Council is already seeing savings from solar panels installed at its Depot, with electricity costs falling by almost half between June and August.

Bills dropped from £7,144 over summer 2025 to £3,618 in the same period this year - a saving of £3,526. 🌱 The panels are also generating clean electricity and helping reduce the council’s carbon emissions.

The project forms part of wider efforts to make council services more sustainable, with further renewable energy schemes being developed at other Maidstone sites.
