I've noticed some posts in groups by operators who are starting to feel the impact of rising costs, spiking fuel prices, and increased competitive pricing. So let's remind ourselves that we are a resilient industry when there is disruption on the horizon!

Right now, fuel prices are rocketing. Everybody feels it, businesses feel it, and customers feel it. So rather than ignoring this growing issue, let's use our collective experience to redirect the narrative.

Good marketing always lands best when it meets people where they are, and gives them a reason to choose you that feels relevant to the moment.

A lot of you will already understand this because you lived it through COVID. We had to adapt to the situation at the time.

We did it with BCN 'Stay at Home Parties' graphics (remember those), and those graphics are still in many of the groups now. They helped users pivot their marketing in response to the situation rather than waiting for things to change. And now you have Ai to help with cool graphics - which saves me a task 😀

BCN SYSTEM UPDATE : Route Planner - Delivery Date Change

There have been hundreds of requests for this change to the route planner, and it's been a reason many haven't been able to fully adopt it for their logistics. That issue has now been resolved 😀

The BCN Route Planner now lets you change the drop-off and collection dates for individual jobs, and, for larger runs, you can do so in bulk via a new, easy-to-use screen.

In practice, this means you can deliver jobs the day before your booking and collect the day after, or configure the route however you wish, to maximise your logistical capacity.

All changes to your route are then logged back in your booking, the calendar view is updated to show new icons for changes to drop, collection or both, and a log is kept of changes made.

A guide will be released soon, but it's really quite intuitive and has been tested with feedback that it's ready for general release.

NOTE:
Changes can only be made before a job is assigned to a driver.

The individual quantities of products can be made visible by tapping the summary, where it would look like the following

Fixed an issue with the Customer Collection document not showing all the expected questions

Fixed an issue with the Delivery Documents buttons going off-screen for Samsung Devices.

BCN System Update 1 of 2: Tax Reporting Module

We've taken on your feedback over the last 12 months and developed a new Tax module that shows how much tax you have generated on your bookings within a specified time period, with quick links to fixed periods. You can also pre-set your business quarters, making it clickity-click quick to generate Tax reports.

The new Tax Module supports VAT, state tax, and multi-state tax, and for those with BCN satellite sites, you can filter specific sites or collate them into a single report.

It's been in Beta testing for a few months, and we're pleased with how it's working so far, but it is a work in progress, and we will continue to develop the module to cater for as many regions as possible.

Specifically for the US users, we are currently testing the Insurance Report, which will generate stats for your insurance providers based on the number of bookings by category.

Booking Online Ltd (home of BCN) is expanding across Europe, and we’re looking for a talented Multilingual Tech Support Agent to join our award-winning team.

In this role, you’ll be supporting both our sales and technical teams, helping to onboard new customers, provide technical support, and train users on how to get the best out of the BCN system – the world’s leading online booking platform for the party rental industry.

You’ll play a key part in our growth, supporting clients across the UK, Europe, and USA by delivering expert customer service in English, Spanish, German and Dutch.

Requirements:
- You must be fluent in English, Spanish, and Dutch (spoken and written, and German is a plus.)
- This is a fully office-based role at Bury, BL9
- Must be able to commute reliably to the office (close transport links)
- Shift patterns to cover our growing UK, US, and European client base (between 9:00am and 9:30pm)
- Confident in providing customer support via phone, live chat, email, and social media
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, tech support, or a similar role
- Comfortable resolving queries that are sometimes technical in nature
- No coding experience required, but you’ll need to be willing to learn basic technical processes (full training provided)
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to work well with both clients and internal teams
