Laptops & Mobile Phones Needed

We’re currently supporting individuals and families who are rebuilding their lives and have limited access to public funds. Access to technology can make a huge difference in helping people stay connected, access essential services, search for work, attend education and training, and communicate with support networks, training and online courses.

We have a drop off to do in a few weeks and are looking for donations of:

* Laptops (any age or specification considered)
* Mobile Phones (smartphones or basic phones)

They could make a real difference to someone who otherwise has no access to technology.

For your peace of mind, all donated devices will be securely wiped before being redistributed, and a certificate of data erasure will be provided.

All devices will also be given a clean and service before they are donated.

Before donating, please:

* Remove any personal data where possible (if you’re able to), if not, we will be wiping them anyway.
* Include chargers if available (although not essential).

Almost every donated device helps someone access opportunities, support services, and stay connected during a difficult period.

If you have a laptop or phone you no longer use and would like to donate, please get in touch.

Please note that we are a self-funded project, and although most of the devices donated to us are erased, serviced and donated back out, some devices will be erased, serviced, and sold in order to fund the project, for things like fixing other laptops that have come in, buying missing chargers and the cost of running.

For peace of mind, all internal component serial numbers are logged, and each system is sealed with a security sticker. If the device is opened or any parts are changed during the 30‑day warranty period, the warranty will no longer apply. Even older or slightly faulty devices may still help.

What happens to donated devices?

Some donated devices are:

✅ Used for training and community tech projects
✅ Responsibly recycled for parts
✅ Some get sold at affordable prices to help fund and sustain the project.

Every donation helps us continue to reduce e-waste and improve access to technology in the community.

All donated devices are securely wiped using industry-recognised data erasure methods aligned with UK and British data handling standards before any reuse, resale, or recycling takes place.

We also provide a free data erasure certificate, giving you peace of mind that your data has been permanently removed responsibly and securely.
