We can finally share some news we’ve been sitting on for a little while. 🎉

Giraffe Head Studios has received funding through the UK Games Fund Prototype Fund for RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments!

This is a genuinely huge milestone for us.

RPX started as a fairly ridiculous idea based around the ragdoll experiments we were making for Rate My Funeral. Since then it has grown into a full game, a playable demo, an expanding team and an increasingly questionable testing Facility full of puzzles, machinery and wooden test subjects.

The UK Games Fund support gives us additional development capacity to keep pushing the game forward, from challenge rooms and systems through to art, content and polish.

🏆 We’re TIGA Games Industry Awards finalists!

We’re incredibly excited to announce that RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments has been shortlisted in the Puzzle Game category at the TIGA Games Industry Awards 2026.

The competition in this category is genuinely incredible, so seeing Giraffe Head Studios and our strange little ragdoll game sitting amongst those names is a very surreal and humbling feeling.

Whatever happens next, we’re enormously proud just to have made the shortlist.

The challenge rooms have become the heart of Ragdoll Physics Experiments.

We give the player a problem, a selection of physics-based tools and enough freedom to experiment. The interesting part is that players regularly find solutions we never designed.

We've learnt not to fight that too much. If the physics allows it and the player genuinely solves the problem, that's part of the experience.

We're building more of these rooms as RPX continues to grow.

The Ragdoll Physics Experiments community has been growing brilliantly over the last few weeks.

One of the things we're enjoying most now is giving each part of the Facility its own identity.

The challenge rooms share the same underlying physics, but the themed zones let us change the atmosphere, visual language and feel of the spaces around them.

We want moving into a new zone to feel like you've discovered another strange corner of the Facility, not simply walked into five more puzzle rooms.

That's a big part of what the Power Core milestones are helping us build.
