A staff file is worth a second step at the door. Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app, and recovery codes for backup.

A certificate number on its own doesn't evidence a DBS check. The EYFS requires that number, the date the check was obtained, and who at the setting obtained it. Strong practice keeps the rest with it: the check type, the barred list check, and whether any information was recorded. heyed keeps it on the staff member's file, in one view, ready to show.

Nobody plans to let a first aid certificate lapse. It just happens quietly, between a bad week and a busy month. The Compliance Hub is one list of every requirement across your setting, sorted by what runs out first, expired at the top, then everything due, with the days left against each one. You stop finding out at the wrong moment.

A spreadsheet records what you typed on the day you typed it. It doesn't know a first aid ran out in May or Sara's self declarations are now dated. Every entry in it is a snapshot, and snapshots go out of date quietly. heyed watches the dates and tells you before they pass, not after someone asks to see them.

Safer recruitment needs a human decision at every key point. It does not need a human chasing every email. HeyEd. handles the legwork in the background, sending requests, nudging referees and logging each step, so managers can keep moving. It brings the reference to you the moment it lands and leaves the judgement where it belongs.

HeyEd. walks you through the correct route for each staff member, records the result, and keeps the evidence attached to their file. A statutory excuse you can actually produce.

📞 24 hours. The chasing. The spreadsheet rebuild. The quiet worry that something lapsed and nobody spotted it.

Confidence is not something you summon on the day. It is what is left when the work is already done.

HeyEd does that work by help keeping your staff records live and up to date across every setting.
