Weehoo! Finally... this weeks inspiration day, was our first .

Yep, it delivered. It was great to see how the operating system continues to spread both word & impact to improve hotel operations and guest care across the guest journey.
Mind you: Uber now included.

With their curated content and recently refreshed brand personality, clearly reminded us that all elements added up, stand stronger together. And create more standout hotels. Here are some takeaways:

• A purposeful hotel brand can take their own unique approach, to the different guest touch points by Charlie MacGregor and Eljesa Saciri.

• Imagine to automate and run on barely (or no) human interaction, projected Niko Ormotsadze, effectively sharing their Bob W. practical alternative to the combined efforts of hoteliers holding on to human touch as their USP in a saturated market of reception desks.

• The smallest rooms that provides access to a city VS embellished getaways in luxurious privacy. Thanks Halima
Aziz from Zedwell Hotels and Bashar Wali.

The hotel industry is rapidly playing the spectrum from what we’re used to, to what could be... And the best part?

How to build a community, a club or: KLABU, I should say:
As Jan van Hövell presented their beautiful global mission bringing refugees together, through the power of sport, a club house and a program that connects these guests, like a local.

Something travellers knowingly desire often, if not most: to either wind down or ramp up in personalised experiences (without friction) and truly live like a local for just a moment, a month or even a life time...

Happy Birthday to me!
Who needs cake, when you can work with these colours?!

Said that; I love a glazed cake; especially because you can design them in any colour you want. So fun! 🥳

Make no mistake, always leave it to the pastry chef, as I can’t bake. Save it for specialists. 🙈

Jokes (and sugar) aside, to keep today’s post snappy:
I was able to pull out the good ol’ Pantone fan deck for a print job! And it gave me so much joy, after a period of screen-bound projects.

So just remind everyone on here; the level of joy one gets with physical design, tangible items, real life textures and touch are a tool to become memorable.

Add consistency of your unique colours and you start to become recognisable. Hotels and veneus have the opportunity to deliver this total experience! Craft it, cultivate it, capture it, celebrate it with the world...

Et voila: Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Today and tomorrow, I will be connecting (with) hoteliers, suppliers and creatives at the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam

I’ll have 5 questions for suppliers! But also curious what hoteliers find important and have to say about them today. So feel free to put in your thoughts and comments 💪🏼

It all contributes to the industry and the brand reputation of inspiring hotels of tomorrow 👍🏼

So here goes:

1 what do HOTELS care about, when they choose a product or service ?

2 how do GUESTS benefit or experience your USP when hoteliers choose to implement a service?

3 what do YOU hope to see more in hotel experiences in the future?

4 how or can a creative agency help your mission?

5 how do you hope the IHA community will help you get there?

I’ll walk around; taking it all in an I’d love to hear your thoughts

Come chat to me !

Flashback Friday:
When Sikko Baltus joined Flight Club’s creative entrepreneurial operation to support the launch of their 2nd venue back in 2017, he learnt an awful lot about hosting play and scaling it up!

Together, we extended the brand system, that allowed them to grow, yet maintain consistency across all their channels: from storytelling, on social, to employee engagement, the booking journey and of course their unique guest experience within each venue, as the concept rapidly expanded across the UK, USA fast and later Australia too since.

Backed by the mother group, Red Engine, the creative agency behind Flight Club Darts and sister brand Electric Shuffle, we’ve been lucky to connect with many creative experts, where several members of our creative Hub have met, collaborated and continued to work together beyond, as well.

Sikko: “I can’t keep up with the amount of awards these venues have won in all their locations, but they’ve deserved each one of them. They’ve truly raised the bar of experiential hospitality and deliver this top level of excitement across the globe.”

There has been so much thought and attention to detail in this concept, giving us unexpected, ridiculous joy. It’s been a delight to work with to bringing the ideas to life and experience the result.”

Earlier this season, we helped launch the Future Ready Hospitality Collective, a brand new thoughtful and easy-to-use platform for future ready hoteliers, that want to include smart and meaningful solutions to their business.

FRHC’s purpose is to inspire, inform, connect and innovate: Connecting hotel managers with impact makers who want to move the hotel industry forward.

Hub designed the brand, creates their (video) content and shapes the online communications to activate their community, which is expanding rapidly by the day.

Next up: Future Ready Hospitality Conference
We look forward to this inspiring event!

Entrepreneurship can look messy from the outside… and honestly, sometimes it is.

Yes, we juggle different projects. At times it feels busy, even chaotic. But there’s a compass:

🎯 Vision first — from booking journey to guest experience

🪞 Practice what you preach — online promises must live offline

🌍 Stay in sync with global trends & audience expectations

Every project comes down to: Who is it for? What do we need to achieve? How do we get there? And—most importantly—who do we need to make it happen?

I choose partners with an eye for detail, a can-do spirit, and the social spark to make the process fun.

Because in hospitality, events, or branding… it only works if people connect. 💡
