At the end of December 2019 we put together our first Newsletter. It first went out to the Mastermind group that helped me make some important decisions last summer, and then it was sent to my client base and and other supporters who have subscribed through my websites. It informs everyone of all of the developments my enterprise is going through at the moment. So I am gradually bringing this poor old FB page up to date with what's been happening in my world from a design angle 🤓 If you are interested and want to find out the news before I get to record the announcement, sign up to the mailing list on my websites www.ukulittle.com or www.northlondonukeleleclub.co.uk or email me at [email protected] 📩 or [email protected] 📩I know this is not quite the way I should be using FB 😝 but I have read somewhere (and agree with it) that unless you want to burn yourself out you have to choose one platform and concentrate on that one. So my platform of choice is Instagram because it is more versatile for what I do. But that's not to say that I will not be using FB occasionally. Thanks for reading if you have come this far down! It celebrates the achievements of the past 6 months 🔝📆 and takes a look at what is coming next. I am extremely grateful to each of these awesome people for supporting me/us with their special set of skills and desire to help me, which has enabled me to push forward with the Ukulittle project. It is happening! 🚀 2020 has lots of exciting developments for my Ukulele enterprise. During the holidays I have been upgrading my resources in the office and an announcement will follow soon...guys this is so much work and much more awaiting me/us! THRILLED! 🤣 I had a chance to touch base with my guitar hero and our combined 10 strings yesterday 🎶💝🎸🥂 in about an hour I learned how to strum two new advanced rhythms, transposed 1st position chords to the high notes up the neck, adding slides and double stops. It’s not often I have a chance to further my own playing during term especially in this last year as things have got rather busy! With a bit of luck 🍀 we might get a recording done during the rest of our holidays 🎥🤞😽

My mobile's apps are so neat and useful to create quick slide shows such as this one from our last Ukulittle Party. I create a lot of content directly on my i-phone, so I had to learn to compromise on design a bit and gain on speed and effectiveness. Design time is very limited when you are running a little school 🏃‍♀️🏫 👫👭👬👫👭👬 This one is called Photogrid, what are your favourite apps?

Our Ukulittle parties now always have a craft activity, which I also normally plan and organise 🧶🛠🎁 Last time we created some fun felt pics necklaces for the children to use at the party and take home at the end. I enjoy coming up with different surprises each term. It's great to see the children really appreciate and keep-safe their charms in their Ukulittle boxes!

My design studio (that's me by the way!) churns out digital and print contents all year around, so much so that it feels like I have five jobs not one 😱 There are many late nights involved when the pressure is on. I arranged 👩‍🎤 and ✍️designed! a 15 songs booklet for the set Cameron and I performed during the most amazing birthday party while leading a group of 18 amazingly enthusiastic ukulele players. Hey Ya! Happy New year to you! I hope you got off to a great start with your design projects! If you follow my Margie Design FB page, I want to say thank you for showing your appreciation here even though I rarely visit it myself! 😆 In 2019 I have been SUPER busy creating content across the pond on my Instagram account. I have been teaching myself how to design IG stories...here's a sample I designed a while back. IG stories are a lot of fun, they can animate and be interactive and create more engagement – if you are interested they can often be watched on my FB stories because I cross post them there regularly. They are either on the North London Ukulele Club page or at my personal account Margie Gianni. It is a fine art and still studying the whole of the IG platform as my first platform of choice, improving how to articulate content between feed, stories and IGTV.
