This week Jill attended the Bognor Regis Business Forum hosted by Chichester Chamber of Commerce at Bognor Regis Town Football Club.

The event was really insightful and enjoyable. We met Russ Chandler, Operational Planner with BRT Football Club who spoke passionately about plans to expand the club, both within and to benefit the community.

A really interesting talk by Justin M. Fitzpatrick who’s career in Rugby is extremely accomplished. Born a local boy in Chichester, Justin achieved amongst his numerous accomplishments, 26 caps for Ireland. 🇮🇪
Justin is a performance focused CEO and he shared some great memories from his Rugby highlights, along with 5 key elements a business needs to focus on, for success.

1. Start with the end in mind - know your goals/vision and work backwards to set realistic milestones to achieve these.

2. Make the values visible - share the vision and feel the values - helps with accountability and working together.

3. Be obsessional - make sacrifices when needed.

4. Have a feedback and growth mindset - filter the feedback and be open to change.

5. Resilience - ability to recover, refocus and repeat.

It was also lovely to meet the local MP for Bognor and Littlehampton Alison Griffiths MP, who shared some of her plans to help local businesses thrive.
