We visited in Shoreditch. They’ve also got a spot in Redbridge, because one great cafe clearly wasn’t enough.

It’s a cafe serving much-loved coffee, proper sarnies and matcha that people flock for. The syrups are all homemade and the flavours are levelled up and properly creative.

Randeep and his team run the show on Square Register. They love how easy it is to use, how simply they can split orders, and how the backend just gets on with it, so they can too.

Top tip: get the Kimcheese Twist toastie. It’s famous for a reason.

A proper Clerkenwell boozer with a b**r list worth staying for.

At The , Jack and the team keep things classic - good music, good chat, great customers and a rotating list of independent b**rs from the UK and beyond.

Square helps them keep service quick when it gets busy, whether they are taking payments on the move or adding a new b**r straight into the system.

A long-standing local, with establishment status for a reason. 🍻

You had us at pistachio cream.

Jennifer from took us behind the counter for the full salted caramel pistachio Crodough process: rolling the dough, cutting each one by hand, frying until golden, filling every layer with pistachio cream and finishing with salted caramel.

Fiddly? Very. Worth it? Absolutely.

At , Geffen wanted to build the kind of place people could walk into and instantly relax.

Their bakery in Edinburgh Park is warm and spacious, with buttery pastries on the counter and a team they clearly adore behind it.

That team uses Square Register to keep things easy behind the counter, from moving through queues to making quick menu changes on the till.

It’s one of those magical places that will make you never want to leave ✨

has and to her name, with Fino and in the story that got her here, and still said: “I need advice for me.”

Icon.

At the , she told us she brought her team with her this year because

“it was time for them.” 🫶

Proud, funny, generous and completely herself.

Her advice for surviving hospitality?

Consistency. Discipline. An amazing team.

Another incredible conversation.

“Food kept me out of a lot of trouble, and apparently I’m quite good at it.” 🤌

found his calling early and never looked back. 33 years later, he’s running in Birmingham and in Borough, proving that when your work is personal, the industry rewards you.

“You genuinely get what you put in.” And this man has been putting in everything.

We loved every minute of this chat with the brilliant Atkar. Bill’s on Square.

Ten years in, and Frank still checks his sales data like the weather forecast. Here’s why.

Frank and Abhi have spent 10 years perfecting the art of the intimate space at – building a community where regulars feel at home and newcomers travel from across London to find them - always an unforgettable experience.

Square’s sales data helps them plan ahead, so whether you’re ordering their signature bao or tonight’s special cocktail, service flows seamlessly.

The result? “Whether it’s an intimate two with a date or a boisterous six with all your mates,” the energy adapts to every group that walks through the door. You can sit at the window watching Rye Lane go past, or squeeze around a table with friends.

“It’s just like a comfortable place to be,” says Frank. And after a decade in Peckham, they should know.

“I love Square because the machine looks beautiful.”

is the sister restaurant to , and nothing in it is there by accident. Not the yakitori, not the fusion Japanese breakfast, not even the hardware on the counter.

Jessica was used to running on Square, and because of this, Nishiki all came together in a fraction of the time Yamato did.

The handhelds send orders straight through to the kitchen, so more time goes on the plates and on chatting to customers, old and new. Jessica wants Nishiki to be a place people are happy to work in as much as eat in - and by the sound of it, she’s got it.🍜

“We used to make salmon and cream cheese bagels for the Kray twins when they were in prison.” 🥯

Jennifer Rinkoff is the fifth generation of her family to run their Jewish bakery in East London, where they’ve been since 1911. Long enough to know neighbourhood regulars by name, and long enough to watch it change around them.

Over 100 family recipes land in their brand new book, The Jewish Bakery, which you’ll be able to buy from 27 August! 📖
