And then a young person leaves, and you find yourself wondering if they're actually ready.

Ofsted asked care leavers what actually helped them. The answers weren't about life skill checklists. They were about feeling safe, having consistent adults and knowing where to turn.

The practical skills matter. But a young person can't really use them until the foundations are in place.

We’d like to introduce another! new starter…. Polina Jakovleva, who has just joined our Development team.

Originally from Latvia, via Glasgow Caledonian University, Polina brings 7 years of software development experience across a range of industries. She’s been wanting to move into a role closer to the care or education sector for a while and we’re really glad she landed with us.

Outside of work, she keeps busy with gardening, DIY projects, and time out in the countryside. Essentially, if it involves making something better, whether that’s code, a garden, or a room that’s been crying out for a fresh coat of paint, she’s in her element. 🏡 🪴

We are delighted to announce the winner of our Easter artwork competition! 🏆

This year we invited young people supported by our customers to get creative and they delivered in style. Our winning entry is "The Great Easter Bake Off" a stunning hand-crafted scene featuring bunny and chick chefs, detailed baking stations, colourful mixing bowls, and a homemade banner. The creativity, care, and personality that went into every element truly set it apart.
