Good afternoon…

Hope everyone is good and I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has or knows of some surplus office space that might be available to give a permanent base to the IT loan scheme.

For this who don’t know, EXSUR I.T Solutions in collaboration with Fetcham Freebay has been for the last 18 months been repurposing old IT equipment that might have otherwise been thrown out and offering it back out to the local community for those who haven’t got access to a home computer.

This has been a huge success and I have simply run out of space and have been reliant on the very kind generousity of one of the members of Fetcham Freebay where I have been able to store equipment.

We have so far repurposed over 150 PC, Laptops, iMacs, MacBooks, iPads and tablets which have gone to good use in the local area.

So, going into 2024 I would love to find a permanent base for the storage of IT Equipment with space to then work on them and get them ready to offer out to those who require them.

If anyone has a spare office or small warehouse in their commercial premises that they would look at letting a local community based soon to be charity use then it would mean we can save loads more computers and Laptops from the bin and also provide much needed equipment to local business, schools, charities and families to help with learning, school work, adult courses and much much more…

Finally, we have a few surprises coming up in December so watch this space…

Another 3 laptops and a desktop which have been completely wiped and then had Chrome OS Flex installed, so are now very fast machines and ready to live another day…

These will be loaned out to assist people with their studies, online courses, meetings and also for work purposes through Fetcham Freebay so joint the group if you are looking for a computer to use.

We are on a mission to save Surrey’s old tech and always looking for anything that just isn’t used or surplus to requirements.

PC’s, Laptops, iMacs, MacBooks, Tablets, Phones, Monitors, Software and more…

We will collect from you which will make space in your home or office and then completely wipe the equipment so any old files will be deleted.

Any local businesses who have recently upgraded your IT Equipment, we would love to come and clear your old kit away and repurpose this so others can benefit.

A Beautiful Sony Vaio laptop in fantastic condition originally running Windows 8.

Another very kind donation from a Fetcham Resident and after some work to wipe this and a new OS installation this is back up and running, better than ever.

Now running a fully updated Chrome OS Flex this is a very quick laptop.

It does require a new battery, but for only £20 this can be replaced and someone can have a great spec Chromebook equivalent in mint condition.. or you can just have it plugged in and save £20 and still get a great spec Chromebook equivalent in mint condition!!

Long live the Sony Vaio…

Another Laptop saved and repurposed.

Very kindly donated by a Fetcham Resident, the HP G56 laptop was previously running Windows 7 but hadn’t been used in a long time and couldn’t remember the password.

EXSUR have completely wiped the hard drive and installed Chrome OS Flex and it runs like a dream. Like a brand new computer…

Perfect for kids who have homework and studies coming up.

Watch out for this on Fetcham Freebay in the next few days..
