We were approached by Burlington Stone after they found us through an online search. They were looking for a local company with the relevant expertise. Replacing the machine would cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and as it was only the display screen that wasn’t functioning correctly, they wanted to repair instead of replacing.

Graham and Sally recently exhibited at the 'Engineering & Technology Solutions' Exhibition at EDF (UK) Heysham Power Stations 1 & 2, organised by Nu-Tech Exhibitions & Events.

💬Speaking about their event Nu-Tech said;

"The one-day event brought together around 60 exhibiting companies, offering a wide range of engineering and technology solutions relevant to the nuclear power generation environment, including operations, maintenance, safety, asset integrity, control and instrumentation.

It was great to see such strong engagement from across the site, with end-users able to speak directly with specialist suppliers and explore technologies that support safe, reliable and efficient operation.

A big thank you to EDF for supporting the event, to everyone who came along on the day, and to all of the exhibitors."

🌍Obsolescence does not ever go away simply because we move on. Innovation is evolutionary and everything that was new once, will become legacy. To help reduce the amount of industrial waste that ends up in landfill sites, we’ll continue to need companies and people with the right skills that can service and repair instead of replacing.

Pictured below is Kate who has been cycling in France, Maz who cycled from Aviemore back to her home in the Scottish Borders. Melvin had another sunny day for his walk in the Lake District and Dan has been enjoying strolls by the seaside.

At Like Technologies, we’re a dedicated team engineers with long standing partnerships in the nuclear industry. Our teams quite often collaborate on projects together to ensure synergy between hardware and software solutions, one area they work on is simulations.

Simulations are used across many different industries and sectors, often for training purposes. But in industries such as nuclear, they can be vital for testing purposes as well. Our team of engineers, led by our software engineers, regularly work on a simulation of a nuclear power station.
