Ofgem's price cap is going up 4% from 1 October, so the typical Direct Debit bill moves from £1,663 to £1,723 a year.

Here's the bit most people miss: that figure is just an illustration based on "typical" use. Your actual bill depends entirely on your own consumption and right now there are fixed tariffs sitting £100 plus below the new cap.

The price cap isn't a safety net. It's a ceiling, not a deal. If you haven't checked your options since it changed, now's the time.

In our latest blog we break down:
🔹 What's actually changing (and the VAT relief that's softening the blow this winter)
🔹 Why "the cap" isn't the same as "the best price"
🔹 How to use our free bills calculator to see where you could be saving, not just on energy, but broadband, insurance and mobile too

Small checks like this take minutes and often save hundreds. Link in the comments
