What if a product could say exactly what you’re thinking? 🧼😂

I created Social Soap — a fictional product designed for anyone who needs to wash away unwanted social interaction.

The idea was to create something that feels like a real product, but with a character and personality that make you stop and look twice.

This piece also fits perfectly with the kind of creative work I love seeing around my local community here in Kettering. There are so many brilliant independent businesses, creatives and local projects doing interesting things — including 🖤 Love Kettering 🇬🇧 , who do a great job of showcasing what’s happening around K Town. ❤️

I’d love to create more character-led concepts for real brands, products and businesses.

How do you illustrate creative burnout without drawing another stressed designer?

My answer: Creative Batteries.

Instead of illustrating the person, I illustrated the feeling.

From the excitement of a new project to the inevitable “one more revision”, every battery represents a stage of the creative process that designers, writers and illustrators instantly recognise.

This is the kind of work I love creating—taking an everyday idea and turning it into a humorous visual metaphor that’s easy to understand and hard to forget.

🎵 “The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind…”

I’ve always loved songs that paint pictures in your mind, so I wanted to do the opposite, turn a lyric into an illustration.

This piece is inspired by Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ in the Wind, reimagined as a simple visual concept.

Most illustrators don’t want to see the finished artwork. They want to see this. 👀🍞

This Punk Toast character was a lot of fun to create—not just because of the final illustration, but because of everything happening underneath it.

Swipe between the finished artwork and Outline Mode, and you’ll see that even a character with a leather jacket, chunky boots, and a bright pink mohawk is really just a collection of simple vector shapes, built one piece at a time.

When you look at the wireframe, the illustration starts to feel a little less like magic and a little more like a process. Every curve, anchor point, and shape has a purpose. It’s all about building complexity from simple foundations.

The goal wasn’t to draw the most detailed slice of toast possible. It was to create a character with attitude. The sleepy eyes, crooked grin, punk jacket, and mohawk all work together to give this little slice a personality before it says a single word.

That’s what I love about vector illustration. No matter how polished the final artwork looks, it all starts with simple shapes and thoughtful decisions.

I redesigned this generic streetwear logo into a bold, character brand identity for BRINE CLUB 🥒
