💨 Do you v**e and own a Samsung?
Then you're going to want to read this one! 👀
Almost every day, we see customers coming into the shop with their Samsung phones refusing to charge because of the dreaded “Moisture Detected” warning.
The thing is, “moisture” isn't very specific. It can be caused by an actual spill, high humidity, condensation OR... your v**e. 😬
Yes, your v**e could be the reason your charging port isn't working.
When you charge your v**e and then use that same cable to charge your phone, any possible e-liquid residue or internal leakage can be transferred onto the phone's charging port, potentially triggering the moisture sensor.
And Samsung's sensor is incredibly sensitive.
Our recommendation? Keep one cable specifically for your v**e and don't use it to charge your phone. 🔌
If this happens to you, we're always happy to have a look and attempt to clean the port free of charge. Unfortunately, we've found that cleaning isn't always successful on Samsung devices.
If the port needs replacing, the solution is a brand-new genuine Samsung charging port, which is around £60.
As part of the repair, we also replace the water/dust resistance seal with a genuine Samsung seal, helping restore the device's protection and freshening up the factory seal in the process.
