Georgina Westley Graphic Design and Illustration

Georgina Westley Graphic Design and Illustration Artist, graphic designer, illustrator. Drawing places and things close to your heart. Sells prints online via www.georginawestley.co.uk or on Etsy.

Hello I’m Georgina, I’m a graphic designer and illustrator. I work from home in my conservatory. The light in there is fantastic. It can get a little hot in the summer and requires a few extra layers in the winter but I shouldn’t grumble. I have a lovely view of my hawthorn tree and ideas often strike when I’m day dreaming or watching the birds fight over the peanuts. I have a degree in Media and

Communications from Wolverhampton University and I completed a Foundation Course in Graphic Design at Bedford College. I was an in-house graphic designer for the RSPB for many years and I continue to work closely with them now as a freelance designer. In addition to corporate graphic design I also sell my illustrations as prints. I have two seemingly contrasting styles, but both started from me simply creating things that I liked, things I wanted on my wall at home. Over time other people have seen them, liked them, bought them and things have gone on from there. I am married and have two beautiful children. Family time is the best. I rely on yoga to keep me grounded and balanced. I volunteer weekly at my local hospice which is a huge privilege and offers me a chance to be part of the wider community. I love chocolate cake, spaghetti bolognese, Nashville and I drink tea by the bucket load. And red shoes…I love red shoes.

If you HAD to choose one to hang on your wall today, which number would it be?

👇Drop your number in the comments. I’d love to see which ones resonate with people.

I created my own art gallery. In my front room. Little info cards and everything. I’ve even got red dots for any sales. 😄

I wanted to show all my latest paintings from the Borrowed Hope collection somewhere and my husband said “what about the piano wall?”

Hell yeah!

It’s right at the front of the house by the window, so if you’re doing the school run or walking the dog past mine, feel free to have a peek in the window. I really hope it makes someone’s morning a little bit brighter.

And if you’re an artist wanting to show your work, maybe a little wall, a few screws and a willing partner is all you need. DIY!

The Borrowed Hope collection goes live 29 Aug. But if you want first dibs, sign up to my newsletter at www.georginawestley.co.uk and I’ll send you the link 24hrs before everyone else.

The Borrowed Hope Collection — twelve original acrylic skyscapes.

I’ve spent so many enjoyable hours on these paintings, playing around with the light, chasing the colour, the promise, the awe of it. Life can feel heavy. But sometimes, if we stop long enough to notice, we’re handed a sky like this — and when we’re feeling a little short on hope, there’s something here to borrow from.

I had the Beach Boys playing while I painted this morning. I hope some of that energy and joy has come through in the colours and the brushstrokes.

This is the last piece in my Borrowed Hope collection and it needs a name. 🙏

Help me title it: which Beach Boys song does this painting feel like to you? Drop your pick in the comments and I’ll pick from your suggestions.

Small paintings. Big feelings.

Every one of these little Polaroid sized Snapshots started as a moment I didn’t want to lose. Something that made me stop long enough to really see it.

Snapshots are my way of holding onto those glimmers and passing them on.

This is art for the noticers.

These are just a handful of the collection, with more waiting in the shop if you want to explore.

All acrylic on paper - original paintings. Mounted and ready to pop straight into a 6”x4” frame — no fuss, no faff. Packaged with care, they make great gifts too.

Swipe through and see if one stops you. That little pull you feel when a painting catches you off guard? Trust it, that’s usually the one.

£50 each · shipped worldwide · tap any painting to shop, or browse the full collection at www.georginawestley.co.uk or follow the link in bio.

Want something made just for you instead? I also take commissions for your own snapshot — a favourite view, a holiday memory, a moment worth keeping. Just get in touch.

Varnished, mounted and ready to go! I’ve delegated the task (of getting them up for sale on my website) to my husband as I’m far too hot and moany to do ‘computery things’. Besides I’ve got more of these little painted Polaroids to create as I’ve taken so many cool photo references recently and they all deserve to be made into Snapshots.

I have to paint doubly quick in this heat as the acrylic paint dries so quickly, but a fine mist water sprayer is doing a good job at keeping them (and me) useable. 🙏✨

Each one of these little Polaroid sized paintings started as a photo you sent me. I turned the sunsets that stopped you in your tracks into original pieces of art.

If you’ve got a sky (or a moment) you’d love captured this way, Snapshots are open for commission — link in bio.

£50 - you supply the memory, I capture it in paint.

Every one of these Snapshots is a place I’ve actually stood this past week, walking through the Bedfordshire countryside. Once you start looking for the good stuff, it’s all-consuming. Walks become a slow scan for glimmers. The way a hedge catches the golden light, the crack of orange under a sky saying goodnight.

Three little paintings, three moments captured and shared.

These go live on the website next week — but if you’d like to reserve one before then, just DM me.

All Snapshots come mounted and backed, ready to frame. £50 each.

I’ve just put the lights on in my front room and I’m loving how the lights are bouncing off my paintings - I thought you might too.

That’s the magic of original art, it changes as the light does, it responds to its environment.

This is just a sneak peek at my new gallery wall in my own home. All these paintings are part of my upcoming collection Borrowed Hope - a series of 12 skyscapes made to lend us a little bit of hope at times when we’re a bit short of our own. 🙏

All paintings will be available to buy on Saturday 29th August.

Email subscribers will have first dibs so if you think you may be interested then visit:
