Director’s Bio:

Tomisin Adepeju, a Nigerian-British filmmaker based in London, has garnered acclaim for his multiple award-winning short films, such as “The Good Son” and “Marianne,” which have been featured in over 100 international film festivals and prestigious institutions. His film “The Right Choice” premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was selected for various international festivals. His latest short, “Appreciation,” received recognition at Oscar-Qualifying festivals, and he is currently working on his debut feature.

I admire people like myself who everyday fights an industry unpleasant to many of us. We make movies if you don’t watch them you are missing them but we do have a voice. Dreamers and filmmakers who keep going despite how many times we heard NO. I don’t care who is the big fish behind. I’m my own big fish and ain’t nothing will stop me from defending our words, our stories, our struggles and our dreams.

Director's Bio:

Tipper Newton is an actor, filmmaker, and musician living in Los Angeles. Her recent short film, Wild Card, played festivals worldwide and received a Special Jury Award for Best Midnight Short at Palm Springs ShortFest. Her short film The Dangerous Type took home the 2021 “Best Shorts With Legs” prize at Fantastic Fest and premiered online as a Vimeo staff pick. As an actor, Tipper has had recurring roles on The Mindy Project and The Guest Book. When she’s not busy working in film and television you can find her being the frontwoman for her powerpop band Color TV.
