Hello, I'm Laura a modern calligrapher, photographer and all round creative type based near Glasgow. A few years ago I treated myself to a proper grown up camera and since then I've fallen in love with capturing moments, setting scenes and telling stories through photos. When my camera isn't attached to me its usually a calligraphy pen, something which I picked up a few ago and quickly became hooked upon. Many sheets of paper (and splodges of ink) later, I've developed my own organic modern calligraphy styles. To chill out (which is rarely), I love meeting new people, being outdoors (as long as I have my cosy coat on) and going on travel adventures. I pride myself on being nice to people (life is tough people its nice to be nice) , drinking tea and Pepsi Max and munching on Pink Lady apples. I also secretly listen to a really bad selection of 80s and 90s music on Spotify and dance in my room when no one is watching.

The key feature of bespoke stationery is that you don’t need to have it all figured out. My job is to create something that feels right for your day and whilst some inspo is helpful I often think the best results happen when couples let me run with ideas. Brittany and Grant were one of those couples and were an utter delight to work with and put so much thought and care into their day. These bespoke pockets contained little insert cards each personalised with information on the castle and the room each guest was staying in. Little subtle illustrations and the castle coordinates - intentional interesting yet elegant details that felt elevated yet fun.

I think we can all agree that the allure of Italy is pretty strong at the best of times but theres something about Italian weddings that always feel like the perfect balance of style yet incredibly fun and relaxed (I’m imagining everyone eating pasta and drinking w**e in the sun). If you scroll through my instagram or indeed website one of the things I hope you notice is that no two projects look the same. For me the joy I get from creating is being able to design something bespoke for each couples celebration weaving in aspects that feel relevant and special to them. When I first chatted to Allison she told me a family story that featured letters and a lotus flower so I leaned into the idea of an opening invite letterpressed with a gold foil Ganesha and the cutest little elephant reply card.
